World ocean day, they decided to make a rock pool by making paper Mache. They enjoyed getting messy, they made clay starfish, stone fish and crabs, paper sea anemones. Wow it’s amazing and after being quarantined it is now going to year 1 for them to play with.
Macramé was tricky to start with but as soon as they got the hang of the knot, they whizzed through it. Great fun and a lovely gift made for father’s day .
Pond dipping was highlight of week, stopped counting after 28 newts found. Dragonfly nymphs found too. Made own mini pond , we will be checking each week to see if we have any visitors!!!
New skill, was harder than they thought but they persevered and were really happy with their first attempts.
Following on from soap sculpting, they made their own soap, chose a colour and essential oil for the smell. Then they melted the soap and hid a surprise inside. Great fun
