Remember when we traveled using magic inside Non - Fiction books!? Our brains were bursting with soooooo many facts about Bees and Dragonflies. Then we wrote Non - Chronological reports about them. We are challenging you to choose something that interests you and write your very own Non-Chronological report. It can be about an animal, a place even a football team... Wolverhampton are the best!
Over the last few weeks, we have been looking at the different elements of writing (editing, similes, expanded noun phrases and speech punctuation). It is now time to put all these together and show off your spectacular story writing skills.
Below are five pictures for you to choose from. Select one of the pictures and write a story about it. This could be the starting point, the middle of the story or the end. It is completely up to you. If you want to plan you writing (always useful!), there is a planning sheet underneath the pictures to help you think through your story before you start.
House Points will be given to any stories sent to us!
How many of the skills we have been practising can you include?
You don't have to write just one story. You could write many. It is completely up to you.
Happy Writing!

Bobby (who is Miss Perkins' dog) is as cheeky as a monkey stealing bananas.
Miss Waring is as brave as a mouse standing up to a lion.

Choose some activities below to improve
This weeks reading challenge is to have a go at some reading comprehension activities these activities are very similar to the ones we do in school so we know you will be FANTASTIC at them.
Reading
Because you are in charge of your own learning from home... you have a choice to make... each activity is rated with stars. 1 star is the easiest activity, 2 stars is a little harder and then 3 stars is the hardest. Think about which activity would be best for you. Why not challenge yourself and try as many stars as you think you can do!
Don't forget when reading your bedtime stories you can use the reading dice to help you understand what you are reading.
Listen to the story about Boudicca & the Roman Invasion and write a list of questions you want to find out. Think about the characters thoughts and feelings. If you could speak to each of the characters what might you ask them?
